1. WHAT IS TEAHOUSE TREK AND CAMPING TREK?
In Nepal, we typically have two types of treks: teahouse trek and camping trek.
On a camping trek, the trekkers will have to carry and sleep in their own tent( it is possible to get a porter to carry your tent for you). You will also need to carry sleeping bags and food.
On a Tea House Trek, the trekkers stay for overnight in a Tea Houses( a combination of guest house, restaurant, and social hang out).Most of the popular routes of Nepal like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang or Helambu areas have tea houses in different milestone.The quality and the cost of stay at tea houses depends upon the remoteness and altitude of the place together with the standard of the rooms and services it provides. On average, per day cost is around 10-30 USD which differs according to the quality of service.
2. DO I NEED A VISA TO VISIT NEPAL?
Yes, you do (unless you are an Indian Citizen).Visas can be obtained upon arrival at Tribhuvan International airport or at a Nepali embassy in your home country.
3. IS NEPAL SAFE AND STABLE?
Nepal is one of the democratic countries in the world with many active political parties, ideas,ideologies and leaders. As such there might be some disturbances in some parts of the country. But it does not and will not affect the daily life of the residents in the other parts. Life moves on as usual, unperturbed.
4. WHAT TYPE OF INSURANCE SHOULD I HAVE BEFORE COME TO NEPAL? CAN I GET IT THERE?
For coming to Nepal you should have both Medical and Rescue evacuation Insurance. Yes you can get it here, but we recommend purchansing it in your country itself.

The weather is probably the best guide for deciding when to plan your trip to Nepal. The best time to visit Nepal is between September to November and February to May.

You need to be prepared for sudden weather changes while trekking. That's why trekking equipment should be chosen carefully before the trip. Sudden rain storms or snow are always a possibility which needs to be considered. The weather during the trekking season is somewhat more stable.
